As a charitable organisation, Hillingdon Narrowboats Association operates several community canal boats on the Grand Union Canal, for use by local residents and community groups of all ages, at a cost they can afford.
What could be better than a lazy day or evening cruising with friends or family, along the Grand Union Canal to the beautiful village of Denham?
Or a chance to delve into the exciting urban life of Uxbridge, through the interesting landscapes of the Colne Valley, which contains leafy woods, mills and lakes. Bring your own food and drink for a relaxing day!
All of our boats are available for hire by any type of group, and we can provide steerers if required. Everyone can enjoy a cruise and enjoy the fun of helping operate 70ft-long narrowboats along the canal and through some of the country’s deepest locks.
Over 90% of our visitors are local residents that come from a wide variety of groups including school groups, youth clubs and adventure playgroups, local businesses, organisations for people with learning difficulties, Scouts and Guides, groups from hostels, care homes and young offenders.
